James is doing my head in !
James is my youngest Son. I love him to bits, of course I do.
But I seem to have created a mini version of me to argue with whenever I want!
There we were, in my bed in our old tumbledown Highlands' home, watching the deer graze the neeps in the field when it started.
That awful bloody Baby Shark song!
The latest thing to drive Daddy to distraction.
What is it thats got the four year olds addicted?
Then only yesterday, he came home with a sheet from the nursery nativity.
We all love the nursery nativity don't we?
And do you know what ?
More annoying songs to learn over the next few weeks!
I’m proud of the wee man, of course i am.
He’s as bright as a button and is playing Joseph this year as he’s the oldest there.
The thing is though, there is something hidden in all this, a deep lesson ingrained in the human psyche.
Repetition!
Repetition helps us all ingrain not only bloody annoying radio songs and jingles, but also procedures and skill sets.
And i don’t know about you, but in my experience, once those skills are ingrained through repetition they can be recalled at a moments notice.
Thats where we are different at ROAVR.
Not your average drone company, we practise practise and practise some more so that if the brown stuff hits the spiny thing...
...we can react instinctively and the shoot goes on as planned.
It happened to me this week , flying in awful conditions at Stirling Castle.
First GPS dropped out then compass and IMU errors. It was no problem though as hours of training meant I could react instinctively.
If you have a shoot coming up and don’t want a crew that learns on your production, give me a call.
Thats what we do, we help production companies capture breathtaking aerials.
Right I'm off on a mission to help the wee man learn his nursery songs.
