ROAVR | UAS are delighted to be the main sponsor for Team Easy going into 2018.
David Walters approached our Director in December 2017 to offer the sponsorship opportunity. We were only to happy to help and have committed our entire 2018 charity budget to this project.
Who are Team Easy?
You can check out their Just Giving Page HERE.
Inspired by 'Easy Company', one of the most decorated companies during the WW2 Campaign. A band of misfits have come together to take the biggest challenge of their lives so far in support of their friend Dean & Help for Heroes.
3 years ago Dean had a safe return from his last tour of Afghanistan.
"One of the strangest yet satisfying feelings is flying away from that place. This Man Vs Mountain challenge is our way to give some support back and to raise money for the charity in respect for all of those injured or killed in any war or conflict." - Dean
Although Dean returned without any physical injuries, the mental challenges he faces daily due to his PTSD is something even the strongest of minds would struggle with.
So Team Easy are off to conquer Snowdon, a mountain in North Wales. But not just a straight forward accent. The team are doing the full 35km starting on the coast at Caernarfon before climbing Snowdon to then descend and finish in Llanberis. You can see some of the route in our Visit Wales video HERE.
You can follow our progress on the Teams Training and Events on Facebook and Instagram as they prepare by racing at many event during 2018.
We wish the guys all the best on their challenge and look forward to helping on the ground next year!
