Trumped!

You know how it is... the best laid plans and all that.

It’s 04:30 and we’ve been driving through the night.

It’s raining hard, despite the ‘optimistic’ forecast.

We had a call with the client the night before, we’ve explained every little detail.

The project is a go and time is tight...

We have a plan A, a plan B and usually a plan C but it’s going wrong fast.

You see , dear old Trump is coming to the UK.

And when POTUS travels, so does a considerable amount of air support.

So much so, that there are usually temporary flight restrictions placed on the airspace and 9 out of 10 times, a restricted area alert prevents drone flight.

This particular client had this all explained, their shoot in London was planned well.

But during our travel they moved the shoot!

They moved the shoot to the time Trump was in the UK and guess what?

No flying for us.

A disappointed client, a drone crew out of pocket and an easily avoided disaster.

If you have a shoot coming up, please give us as much notice as possible and I 100% guarantee we can deliver!

In other news, this last month or so has been crazy.

We’ve mapped moorland fires in Moray, hillsides in Shetland, flown all over the UK and have barely been at home.

This all adds up to happy drone crew, although Paul is currently in Skye in the rain so perhaps his smile has slipped!

Meanwhile I’m typing this sat in the van inside a Police cordon in the pouring rain.

One thing we can’t control is the weather , but we promise to try!
